Ash

 

Autumn Purple--Seedless variety that will grow to approximately 40 ft in height and 30 ft wide. The leaves will be green in Spring and Summer, but will turn a maroon color in the fall. Picture.

Marshall--Grows to approximately 50 ft tall and 30 ft wide. The leaves will be green in the Spring and Summer, turning yellow in the fall. Good resistance to diseases and is naturally seedless. Picture.

Patmore--This hardy variety will grow to approximately 50 ft tall and 30 ft wide. The leaves are green in through the Summer and will turn yellow in the fall more upright branching than the Marshall Ash. Picture

Summit--A narrow variety that has dark green leaves and turns yellow in the fall earlier than most Ash and the branching will be fairly symmetrical. The approximate height will be 50 ft and 20-25 ft wide.

 

 

 

Buckeye

 

 

Yellow--the bright green leaves will turn a yellow-orange to reddish brown in the fall. At maturity the height will grow to approximately 30 ft tall and 25 ft wide. Initial look of the tree will be upright but as the tree ages the branches will start to open. Can tolerate a moist area t

 

 

 

Catalpa

 

Northern--This hardy tree will grow to an approximate height of 45 ft, and a width of 25 ft. This shade tree has large light green heart shaped leaves and large white flowers. After flowering long seed pods (pen shaped) will form and drop to the ground.Picture.

Purple--Very similar to the northern except leaf is smaller and the new leaves come out in a gorgeous maroon.  The flower will have purple speckles as well.

 

 

 

Cottonwood (Cottonless)

 

Lanceleaf--This variety is cottonless. The branching is somewhat upright in addition to the medium sized leaf. The approximate height will be 50 ft tall and 40 ft wide. Very fast growing but susceptible to breakage due to high wind and early spring and late fall snows.

Narrowleaf--This variety will have narrow leaves and is cottonless. The approximate height of this tree at maturity will be 55 ft tall and 35 ft wide. Very fast growing but susceptible to breakage due to high wind and early spring and late fall snows.

 

 

 

Honeylocust

 

Imperial--Symmetrical growth with spreading branches. This is not a true shade tree but will provide good filtered sun. The leaves are small and green, and will turn yellowish in the fall. The approximate height at maturity will be 30 ft tall and 35 ft wide. In first 3 years die back is normal. Winter watering is strongly encouraged..

Shademaster--This variety at maturity will be approximately 40 ft tall and 45 ft wide. The leaves are a dark green, but turn yellow in the fall. In first 3 years some die back is normal.

Skyline--An unusual variety that tends to have a pyramidal form and will get about 40 ft tall and 30 ft wide. In first 3 years some die back is normal.

Sunburst--This variety has an irregular growth habit. The approximate height at maturity will be 30 ft tall and 35 ft wide. The leaves are a light green and will have golden yellow new growth to give this tree a spectacular look in the summer months. Picture

 

 

 

Kentucky Coffee

 

Kentucky Coffee--A fantastic tree that at maturity will be approximately 40 ft tall and 30 ft wide. The leaves are a green through the Summer months and will turn a greenish yellow in the fall. Seed pods are approximately 8" long with a mahogany color that will hold through the winter. A slower grower typically but once established we have seen two feet of growth a year.

 

 

 

Linden

 

Greenspire--This little leaf variety has a gorgeous pyramidal shape with heart shaped leaves. The flowers are yellow with a spicy fragrance and appear in early Summer and have clusters of small berries after flowering. The approximate height at maturity will be 35 ft tall and 30 ft wide. Picture

Redmond--A variety of the American Linden. This tree has large dark green leaves which turn yellowish in the Fall. In the Winter the buds and twigs turn reddish. The shape is an oval to pyramidal and the approximate height at maturity is 40 ft and the width is 35 ft wide. Picture

Sterling Silver--A broad pyramidal tree with a nice silvery underside to its leaf.  The dark green leaf and has a very fragrant flower in early summer.  Will get 20 foot tall and wide.

 

 

 

Maple

 

Autumn Blaze--This variety usually has a great red fall color with a medium sized green leaf in spring and summer. The tree will have an oval shaped crown and is hardy. The mature height of this tree will be approximately 40 ft tall and 35 feet wide. Very fast growing

 

 

Emerald Queen (Columnar)--Great tree, size at maturity will be 40-50 ft tall and 15 ft wide. Nice glossy dark green leaf through Summer, turning a golden yellow in the fall with a straight trunk.  Slow grower.  Picture

 

 

Norwegian Sunset--Upright oval growing Maple. In Fall it will have a orange leaf color in the fall. Height at maturity will be 30 ft tall and 20 ft wide. A slow grower but will drop its leaves later than most maples. Picture

 

 

Sensation Maple--Great tree that will grow to approximately 30 ft tall and 25 ft wide. The Fall color varies from yellow to pink.  Fast growing tree that can handle a little more moisture than most maples. Picture

 

 

 

Oak

 

Crimson Spire– Slow growing Red Oak, will end up 15’ wide and 40’ tall.  Nice red fall color.

English Columnar--At maturity the approximate height will be 50 ft tall and 20 ft wide. The leaves will persist into the winter months. The leaves are green and will turn yellow-orange in the fall. Picture

 

 

Northern Red--Long lived tree that will grow faster than the Bur Oak. This tree will have a pyramidal shape with orange-red leaves in the fall. Approximate height will be 45 ft tall and 40 ft wide at maturity. Picture

 

 

 

Purple Robe

 

Purple Robe--Produces a chain of dark rose pink flowers in spring and grows to 35 ft tall and 25 ft wide. Fall leaves turn yellowish and like a semi-protected location in the yard.

 

 

 

Willow

 

Prarie Cascade--Leaves are a nice yellow color in the fall and has a wispy weeping look to the branches after 5 years of being planted in the yard . The leaves have a glossy green appearance in Spring and Summer.

 

 

Sienna Glenn--This variety usually has a fantastic red pink fall color with a medium sized green leaf in spring and summer. The tree will have an oval shaped crown and is hardy. The mature height of this tree will be approximately 40 ft tall and 35 feet wide. Very fast growing. Less likely to get yellowing of summer leaves than the Autumn Blaze.
